  • Peradon permac club cue

Hi does anyone know anything about the club cues?

Ive been looking but can't any info on it.

I have been offered one for £55 and wondered if it was around the going rate?

If they are a common cue or just a bit of tat someone has had laying around.....

Pretty common, as with most club cues, cheaper made variants intended for rack cues so easy to find beat up examples on car boots for £5, good examples probably around £30-£40?

If it plays, £50 is nothing really.

You have to go through a hell of a lot of tat on eBay to find one bargain cue which plays well. One of the reasons I'll always ask a premium for a good playing cue no matter how many people tell me what they 'know' the value is.

I went through a phase of buying and playing with antique cues, and your right the club cues are too hit and miss to pay much for, but when you find that one its worth paying over the odds, just don't expect to get it back.
That said if it plays well, you probably won't find a modern day equivalent for less than £80?
What specs are you looking for?

The Permac Club cue came out early 70s and was advertised for a couple of years, less than the other Permac range of cues, so may not have been a popular cue at the time.
Now if you have been offered one, does that mean you have had the opportunity to have a few frames with it?
If you like the cue then you can decide what it is worth to you
As been said above, usually available for less than £55

Spec wise I don't really know what I want, Im playing with a 17.9oz, 9.5mm tip, 17.25" BP.

It feels ok but it is quite whippy at the end and can see it flex even with a medium shot.

Funny as it sounds I also keep marine fish and talking to a guy on there I have dealt with he offered me it.

But he's miles away so no chance of trying first.

I'd give it a miss then at that price, where are you based?
