Tom Snooker Cues Thailand
I earlier this year dealt with Tom Snooker cue makers for the first time. I was very circumspect as I had seen no examples of their work previously. Their facebook page had pics of cues but photos were not clear. I spoke to a gentleman online named Supphat and decided to order a selected shaft ash(straight grain with 4 even spaced arrows) with ebony and four splices of snakewood. I was allowed to select the shafts from a few pics he sent over. The shaft was exactly as I wanted visually. Since I was visiti ng Thailand I made arrangements to pickup in person. I was given a tour of the workshop when I visited. The cue, on inspection was superbly made, exceeding my expectations. Looking at some ready-made cues over, I made six other purchases including a first ever laminate cue which is the best hitting cue I have ever had to date. The prices were very reasonable. Materials were excellent with jet black ebony and clean ash. Workmanship was top notch with exceptional balance and precise splicework. One maple cue was “not the cleanest shaft” according to him(Supphat), but I saw no issues with it. In fact the new owner absolutely loves it. Anyone wanting to view his work can go to facebook page Tom Snooker Cue Supphat or his email supphat.sirichantr@gmail.com. I am posting cues made by him on his behalf. They will be available if posted here and anyone wanting to find out more about cues prices etc. can contact him on his facebook page or via his email. He speaks very good English hence I don’t see a problem with communication. He is a fair and honest man and his turnaround time is about a month at most, postage or courier delivery time aside. He quoted me 30 pounds for postage and packaging for a cue delivered to UK. Please note that the Thai post has issues with parcels over 150cm or 59 inches so cues over this length would have to be requited for postage or courier.
Hi extensions are the generic spirolac - omin, maximus etc type. Available from him at about 25 to 30 pounds for the pair(long and mini). His cues are available in French polished butts, lacquered or oil finished as per request.
Just to make things clear, I have no vested interests in these cues and just helping someone who I think make lovely cues at down to earth prices. I will be posting pics of cues here from time to time on his behalf.
