    Cheers chum.

@blackswan, that would be grand. AH does know far too much but doesn't come across like he's up his own chuff. If he could make a video, brilliant.

Dragon cues used to offer an oak shaft as one of the options, on their cue orders.

I think I've found that they are based in Neath and there is an address and phone number but I'm struggling to find a website. I guess there isn't one?

There used to be, but I've not heard of anyone buying one for a few years now.

Used to be a dragon cues stand at many a pool weekend I was at, but no more.

It plays fine just very stiff, not sure if that's the wood or the taper. I'm hoping it makes me a rich man one day when all the pros use JO cues!

Talking of oak, I've just seen these beauties with Oak splices, the splices polish up real nice against the black ebony but retain some oaky character in the grain. And a very good description of the cue from CC, as usual. They also tell you how the cues hit if you ask, by testing them on the table and explaining it over the phone. Nice chaps.

Not really a business. More of a service. No chance me swopping me day job to sell cues. Just that quality cues not so abundant here and not easy to source here due to heavy customs.

Glad you're still cooking sanman. Quality mate!

I'm wondering about the use of oak to shift the BP. Generally, I believe, maybe J6 can comment, the BP gets 'worse' as we add weight, but if th shaft has say, an extra ounce in mass, can we shift the BP forwards? My own cue is only 17oz and has a lovely feel and BP at 18.5.
