      It's a tiny dent and my phone camera doesn't manage to show it clearly.

        wrap some towling over the dent and pour a kettle of boiling water over the dented area slowly - dry the area - rub down cue with wire wool add a few coats of oil.

            Sounds a bit drastic ??
            If it's so small that a camera can't pick it up i would rather try putting a damp tea towel/bar towel over the dent and use an iron on the area

              Saw you recommended that in the link I gave. I found the damp cotton bud taped to shaft overnight did the trick.
