In reality the arrows are not important - it does not change how the cue plays.

I'm not sure arrows help with aiming, I think we can all see if the cue is pointing where we want it,( I get it online with my grip and bridge hands, nothing to do with arrows )but they will show if you have twisted your wrist or let the cue move in the grip ,things like that, if you use them at all.This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

So after playing a little with the cue, it didn't stick in my hand at all.. so seems to be a success.. thanks so much guys. Now I can concentrate on my poor technique better! I also matched my measly highest break of 16 again..!
I will book some coaching now.. and then see what the coach says about suitable cues for me in terms of sizes/weight etc.. and then I think I will look into getting a proper cue.. and won't worry too much about the arrows..
