Thanks Mike but I've got one in the post already. I'll have to make that ferrule a New Years present, do I get a free gimp mask with it?

What a pointless thread- Basically I don't like your website and your customer services. Simple, if you don't like the way he conducts his business don't buy from him! I actually prefer the no nonsense approach, quite refreshing actually. If you're buying a cue from Mike I've always him very helpful and straight to the point.

Muneebsarwar thanks for all your valuable insight and input in your 22posts in three years. Rant over, off to kick the cat.............

I think his attitude is spot on to be honest.
I get 'cue kickers' all the time, and have better things to do than measure weigh and photograph every inch of a cue only for someone to then ask for 50% off the price, or decide the butt is 0.1mm too small to pot balls.
Mike sets out his stance and if you don't like it you go elsewhere - I don't see the problem.

          I agree!
Mike has spent an awful amount of time to design arguably the best snooker cue makers' website in the business. His faq page is near bob-on and the questions I've sent to him are the ones that are not on that page. He has always responded to all my emails within a 24 hour period which is excellent customer service and always efficiently answered my questions.

If you don't like his ways. Simply don't buy, there are many choices available.
          PS
I have sent emails to other cue makers is the last 12 months and I'm still awaiting reply from a few of them.

Totally agree. The amount of timewasters you get is beyond belief. They ask all the questions, set out their requirements, agree a price then buy something not remotely like what they wanted.

You should try being me for a week - you would cry! "oh no I could not possibly use a cue with 5 arrows only 4 works for me...." etc etc!

I'd give that a go - is your butler included in the deal?

Are Mike's cues really £1500 and over, or is that just the price of certain "luxury" models? I've looked at his website a few times myself and it always gives me a chuckle, but as I've yet to actually take up the sport(maybe finally I'll get round to it in 2017), I've never enquired about a cue!

I won't put up with disrespectful customers either, even though I can ill afford to turn people away. Thankfully 99% of people I've dealt with have been great; the ones who weren't were told to sling their hooks.

The butler is called Debbie! - some are if you go mad with the options but if you are picking a standard cue they are not that expensive - imho.

                        @ Muneebsarwar

Your comment was towards his Web site.
as you've probably noticed, Mike did respect your opinion. tbh, I think it's just abit of humour ( as already mentioned ).
As i mentioned in my previous post. this could be easily misunderstanding.
Can'nt speak for everyone , But I'm glad you're here. cuz this way other members who had dealed with Mike Or know him, get the chance to explain it to you.
                        Just my 2cnts !!

                        I hope That's okey !!

Yes i was probably foolish to even comment on this thread in the first place. Everyone has a right yo an opinion and you sir sound like a first class idiot ( wish the forum had a like button would no doubt get a few likes) how do you know my Grandfather doesn't own it, do you know him?

You come on here slating a well known cue maker and respected forum member and act surprised when someone actually states what I'm sure a lot of members are thinking! Can't believe Mr MW himself hasn't told you to to go F yourself( must of been off the booze this weekend ) don't worry I'll not be commenting on your thread again, really can't be arsed.

Once again though thank you for your input in three years and 22 posts.......... I'm sure the forum will be a much better place with your valuable insight.

Mikes bark is worse than his bite. He is definitely in the top couple of cuemakers in terms of speed of response and feedback. I've worked in retail for years, not front line for a while, but when I was it always amazed me that customers came in to our stores and wanted us to provide goods or services in a way that we did not offer and then got all pissy when we wouldn't - it's dead simple if you don't like how a product is sold or how a service is provided, go elsewhere as nobody is forcing you to purchase from the seller.

P.S. If you want a great cue with a known badge, don't want a 3yr wait (Parris, TW) and don't want to pay 1500+, why not call Stamford? Selby and Ding, the two best players in the world right now both use their cues and pay for them, not freebies. You can have a custom off them for £700, not 1100 or 1500+! PMSL!
