How times have changed, the range back then was tiny compared to what there is now. Never realised they seemed to do a cue that was split through the splicing as one of the collection cues, something that isn't recommended these days due to the joints bedding in and the alignment shifting slightly. Prices are obviously a lot lower but depending when this advert was made (late 80's possibly) still a decent chunk of change.

Probably before the Ultimate's were numbered as well, used to be just tagged as ultimate cue then they started numbering them.

Nah, stamps were 27p about ten/twelve years ago... Used to mail all our invoices out.

Well considering the parris collection in the pic is tiny id say late 80's very early 90's. I had a brochure from them in 97 and it had from master upto exclusive, plus the 3 made to measure cues.

It doesn't say it's one stamp, you can put more postage on for a heavier bigger letter, which it probably was as it was a brochure, you seem to have jumped to the conclusion, it was one first class stamp that's required, it may not have been so you can't date it at all from the postage.

£395 in the late 80's would be roughly equivalent to what a ultimate would cost now with inflation. Any of those cues would of been a great buy, use it for 25 years and can still sell if for a profit, that can't be bad!
