You can get a red marker and outline the splice tips of the modern ones and sell it for a bit extra because its a red glue edition that the eleven folk of London have worked on!

Prices are obviously a lot lower but depending when this advert was made (late 80's possibly) still a decent chunk of change.
Late 80's, spot on. I have this cue. My one is 1988, at the tender age of 14 with handmade number of 353. I think this design probably came about after Mr Parris cut Steve Davis's original cue. I still have it but never use it, but remember the splices being slightly out after time. But now the splices are bang on, maybe just different times of year, use temperature etc?

Got any pics of it? . Be interested in seeing a few.

Not sure about temps affecting alignment, I did have a cue that was in a case unused for a few years. When I took it out the ebony had actually swollen slightly and was slightly wider than the joint. Had to get it simmed down as it kept hitting my chin.

No worries mate. I'll take a few and see if I can upload them. I put some up ages ago but was helped by someone? The cue cost me £182 plus £20 for the extra long extension!

Always liked the split through splices look, though can be irritating when the joint beds in and they start to go out of alignment.

Could do with a bit of wire wool to get that joint shining again
