Spoke to Steve this morning and none of his Pear Wood cues are whippy (not so sure that he would have carried out this amunt of effort if they all were!).

Have had quite a few discussions with him about his progress over the last few months as they look really nice and are not too commonplace. I like the golden shafts personally and the fact that they are really smooth as cues go.

His pricing seems pretty good as well as a 1 piece ebony butt cue is around 230 whilst at the other end of the spectrum if you want a cue that has 4 splices of Snake Wood then it would be £400.

From what I understand, he is steadily building a stock to represent a range of tastes so hasn't started to advertise but if you want to have a chat with him then pm me for his number and he'll be happy to talk.

I love the look of the old J P Mannocks so it's nice to see some Pear Wood getting to the market.

Snooker Crazy did not receive any commission for this..............lol..........I may need to book an agent into the future!

He does like to talk ehh
Very passionate about them, but personally i think he's building up too large a stock pile, would be better off getting smaller batches ready for sale, ie what if demand is just not there ? he will have lots of money invested by the time his website goes on line !!

I don't think he's adverse to selling the stock he has from what I understand; just think he wants a decent selection for his advertising.

Probably best to ask him if you have Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php...994732&fref=ts

Was talking to Martin daly of tyrone cues.

So he said a pearwood cue needs to have at least 9.5mm tip and thicker shaft to be suitable for snooker.

The cue I was looking at is an 8.75mm tip so in his opinion in pearwood suitable for English 8 ball

Shame as the cue was immense
