Best cue for around £50

Hi,

I am an amateur player playing weekly and wondered what is the best value cue to invest in?
If anyone has any suggestions that would be top. Looking for 3/4 and at least 9.5mm tip.

Your not going to get much for £50 have a look through eBay try grand cues

Woods cues are cheap and definitely value for money

Last time I looked ADR147 had some cues in that price range on ebay. 3/4 split as well.

Not really you can only buy a cheap cue for £50 there's plenty on eBay there hit and miss you might get lucky and get a good one you might not if your after a decent cue and seeing as your playing on a weekly basis I would get a bit more money together you can get a 3q master cue off eBay for around 100/120£

I would have something decent but not on ebay because of fees. the cues i have on ebay at £75 would be the best bet.

I can vouch for Woods Cues as well. I believe they're not an English company despite what their site may be designed to look like but regardless of that the quality is good. You can pick up a cue for around your £50 budget with the spec you want.

One note I'll give is that they come with a lacquer finish. It feels lovely the day that you receive your cue but after a few months you'll notice it going sticky. I'd recommend either paying to have it removed or following one of the many tutorials that you may find on the web. http://handmadecues.com/re-finish/

Great cue - but it is a pool spec cue.

You said in the opening post your playing weekly and want a good value cue to invest in. £50 will not get you any of that save a bit more cash and have a look through greenbaize cues web site have a look at the master cue section or alternatively go on craftsman cues web site and have a look at the Phoenix cues both are good value cues to invest in. All these cue packages that you see on eBay where you get cue, extensions and case all in for 40/50 quid are just cheap crap that you want to stay away from. You'll only end up getting rid and getting something else in the near future save your money till you can afford something decent.
