Hi, what was the base/original protective sealer on 80's Snooker Maple Cues. Was it Oil or Wax. Or laquer sanding sealer? Or any other material? Who knows? Is it the same as on Billard cues? regards

Hi,
Are you trying to refinish an old case as I wouldn't think it was an oil finish.
Takes to long for a case...
Would think a lawyer, myself....
Where are you as I might be able to give you a better idea of I could see it in person..For that one you've always wanted...

Late, dyslexic and spell check..... Not a good combo to answering a question lol...
What make is the cue for a start, that might help in trying to work out what finish is on it..For that one you've always wanted...

Sorry but you have lost me.... Not sure what advice your looking for...
You can use oil (I use Danish oil), to seal and finish a cue.
Plus it's easy to use...For that one you've always wanted...

No I've never heard of them....
You do know that they will be a shellac sealer or something along them lines....
Just rename, do they can change you more for it...
If you know so much, why are you asking for advice?
I have a lot of years of using different finishes.... From French polish to lacquers and some in between but not all..
So trying to help..For that one you've always wanted...
