Depends on insurance, value of item and it can depend on the courier as well. If it cost a large amount and was insured for that amount they can request to see the packaging to see if it was sufficient to protect it before paying out. I don't know anyone who that's actually happened to but apparently its a clause with some couriers.

I guess it's like any large companies though mate, there's always the odd person that doesn't care.

I had a team of guys that worked inside a couriers place for a few years and it was awful, the attitudes where all about not working and they treated customers in a way that made me shake my head every time I went there.

But, that being said, most places try to provide an excellent service which is what we all expect and every now and again things go wrong.

The fragile sticker on the plastic tube is to ensure I do as much as I can reflecting the costs of the individual product, from there on in you have to trust in chance.

I wouldn't worry too much, it's rare things go wrong, i must of bought and sold 400 odd cues, never had one damaged yet, one went missing but was paid out insurance wise

purchased a old T. Reece off ebay some 10 years ago, lovely one piece cue it WAS! it arrived as a 2 piece expertly cut in half by the back door of a royal mail van. They would not compensate at all.
