Yes that's very true or you could have one unreal cue then I wouldn't be thinking of swapping between cues every time I played bad.

Well it is true that people will sometimes switch cues if they're playing bad, just one of those things where "the cue is to blame" plays on people's minds.

Yes I didn't mean by the above statement that a cue that costs more would make me play better I just couldn't justify having two cues as I would be swapping between them when playing that's just my budget if I can find one cheaper I like I will do by all means.

It depends what you're after. You're going to have to pay more for a specific grain or level to detail in terms of things like level splices or darker ebony for example.

If you don't care about those, settle for something less expensive. You're going to get a just a good or better cue in playability

I play with Maple cue and would have peace of mind if I had at least had two cues with identical specs so that if anything ever happened to my no 1 cue I would have something similar to immediately fall back on - whilst I appreciate no two cues will play exactly the same - there would be at least no issues with Grain.

Indeed I have two such cues - same specs - one plain black ebony butt , the other rosewood with four Paduk splices with maple veneers - I like them both but the latter is only to be used as a back up.

Remember "Love the one your'e with " as I keep reassuring my no 1 cue - haha

I've got a one piece tw and a one piece Jason Owen as I could decide between the two then I'm just going to send the other back to a friend.
