Was wondering if anyone here had ever had a cue that was a bit (probably 2mm at most) too small for their hand, and if there was any way of making it bigger with tennis racket handle tape or something?
If you look at the pool cue makers they put some kind of cotton weave on the butt and can build it up that way and then they lacquer it. There are videos on the net.
You could buy a cricket bat handle rubber and cut it into two or three short lengths and apply layers until it's the diameter you like, will give you a good grip as well.
To add splices to make it that much bigger, would mean adding to the length of the cue, then cutting the top down and retappering it to the old size ferrule.
So what has been suggested is the easiest way
