They are the same cue as long as they're in your spec. If you want the s.d joint get an ambassador

I would not bother changing what you have is every bit as good if not better

I agree with this. Why not just alter your phoenix cue, a lot cheaper and you know you like how it plays. Buying any cue blind is a risk.

He wants different specs ! But would be maybe better to alter his cue rather than buy another ?
Andy Travis could sort out his cue

I did think of altering my cue was just worried that it wouldn't play the same and have interest in the cue already , would altering the cue make much difference to its play , it's about inch /inch and half long and 0.5mm to big tip ,

If would not change much in terms of playability. May take a bit getting used to a smaller tip is all. If you are comfortable with the Phoenix then stick with it. Very unlikely in my view anyway that the lower end Parris would be better than the Phoenix cue

what is it that's making you go for a smaller tip? as someone who's been there before toying with 9mm tips, I'm back to 9.5mm and wondering why I ever bothered

I think I will alter it then cue feels grate but as it was my first tidy cue wanted to go longer but went to long tho ,same with the tip really went to big had a few games with a mates cue (smaller tip cheap cue ) got more control on the white and I didn't even like the feel of the cue so I'm hoping i can get the best of both worlds if that makes sense ,who would you advise to contact for alteration ? Thanks for everyone help so far

this is the exactly what got me started. good luck with your experiment, hopefully won't be an expensive one. i'd suggest holding on to your phoenix cue for a while longer until your experiment bears fruit
