I was the same . 3/4 cues all the time . Changed to one piece . And would not go back to 3/4 .

Better feel for me as well
Still trying to pot as many balls as i can !

I think it's a myth that one piece cues play better than 3/4 cues else pro's wouldn't use 3/4 cues.
Saying that i'd never go back to 3/4 simply because of all the aggro I had with my last two 3/4 cues breaking due to various issues with their joints.

1 Piece all the way for me...better feel among the balls in my opinion.

3/4 for me as I find them easy to manage than a 1 piece in and out of the car.

I'm not good enough to know the difference between a 1 pce & a 3/4 in the same way I'm not good enough to get annoyed if I miss a difficult shot.

3/4, 1 piece is just an annoyance to cart about.

1 pc and loving it. I am pretty sure I have/we all have answered this question on here before somewhere.

The question got asked if you were blindfolded and someone handed you a half a dozen cues 3 quarter and another half dozen 1pc could you tell with the 'feel' which was which? I think not. I have had some good 3/4 cues too. All the best ones playability wise have been 1 pc though.

You don't feel there's any particular reason behind why they have been better for you than the 3/4 Byrom?

Maybe in general cues are better complete rather than split with metal? Perhaps there is probably a slightly different resonance or feel in the butt or maybe the balance and reaction/whip was just better in the 1 pc cues I had or maybe it is just in our heads?

I don't know - obviously 3/4 are easier to carry and I have had some great ones but overall like I say the very best cues I have used have all been 1 pc. A Mercedes cut in half and wielded back together is still a Mercedes from the outside looking in not many people could tell but is it going to be as solid as it was in the beginning and would it drive exactly the same? Could the join fail at any point or would it bother you to know this yourself slightly? Why do this to a beautiful car that was great in the first place? - Wood is better complete I think so leave it alone.

                            1 pc rules.

Would I be right in saying there's also a difference between a 3/4 cue made from the outset as a 3/4
( block of solid ebony or whatever for the butt end ) and a 1 piece cue made into a 3/4 cue ?

I remember Andy Gibbs had a few 3/4 cues a while back, that were made from 1 piece cues.
