Hi everyone, was hoping people could give some advice / information to help me buy a pool cue. I'm wanting to buy something better than whats in the high street, but at same time don't have loads of money. So my budget is up to about 130 tops. Whilst over the years Ive mainly only played with a rattling two piece and what ever has been available in pubs, what I would like is a 1 piece, because on the few occasions I played with one I really liked how solid it felt. I also prefer smaller cue tips, so I would like between 7 and 8mm. Lastly, I've no idea about length, but Im only short so I guess if possible I may as well go for a slightly shorter cue, but its not a deal breaker.
Looking online Britannia and Cue Craft keep coming up, should I go with one of these, or are there some other brands that I should consider given my budget and preferences, particularly the smaller tip size?
Lastly, if I did go with say Cue Craft, they offer different weights and lengths; what would a good weight be? And maybe a stupid question but if you go with say a short 55 inch cue, how do they make it heavier if requested?
Any advice appreciated.
Thanks!
