Are Parris cues the best ? If not who makes a better cue ?

  • #2
Subjective, parris gets more exposure but it's hard to say they're the best. You've got Mike Wooldridge, Tony Glover , Trevor White, Andy Travis, Martin Daly among a lot of others who make cues that are easily on par with anything coming out of London.

Well at least I got a response on this thread.
But seriously why do people dislike Parris cues on here ?

some may but most do recognise that JP is in the top makers, just not THE best; no one is.
"Best" is a personal, subjective, emotive, illogical moniker
JP makes good cues but so do many other makers, some could be better than JP some could be not so good as JP.
JP has made some poor quality cues, other makers have also made cues not "so good"; each cue is individual they are not a DVD player...they are made from natural materials and those materials DO vary

If you can, find a place that stocks many makers of cues and try them all out, and find the cue that feels good to you.

                  Up the TSF! :snooker:

Played snooker for 20 yrs with a rubbish BCE cue , just recently started playing again with the same cue , I have decided that to improve my game I need a decent cue , been looking at Peradon and powerglide cues because my budget is not that much , any reviews of those two would be appreciated.

Assuming your budget is around the £100 mark you can do better for the money. Andrew (ADR147) will have some options at that price. Welshpool Trading on ebay will have a few options also. There are some Thai cues kicking around on ebay at the moment too around £130 mark (Phoenix, Master Cue would usually fall in this price bracket)

This is pretty much as good info as you will get. Follow this. If it's a step up from bce, buy any phoenix cue for around £130 on ebay
