  • Another "Black plate" magically appears

After Will Hunt pulled a black plate out of his ass last month that sold for an utterly ridiculous £2306, another one has magically appeared.

Are people seriously going to fall for this? He's getting badges knocked up and slapping them on imported cues worth maybe £100 tops.

And here's the one that sold for 2 grand last month, at first i thought it was a relist but you can see the grain is different so obviously a different cue.

This is from his facebook page, the different shaft look options. Handy for making a cue look a bit older.

He's been importing cues for years and "part making" them, nobody seems to know how much he actually does. Going by the pics on his site and facebook it seems to be as little as badging and tipping them. For all we know even the more sought after cues he "made" from years ago were also made in this way, just wasn't common knowledge at the time.

that is a shocking price for that cue...look at the bug glue line near the bottom of butt pad ! also i have seen better looking ash on some £60 woods cues.

someone has to be making a fortune with these cues ripping people off.

I think he stitched himself up when he mentioned in the first listing somewhere that he had the cue in storage or happen to find it lol. And suddenly he has another one. It's just far-fetched

Convenient these just happen to be one piece, he must not be able to get hold of any of the original chunky joints to make a 3/4 that he had mistakingly been using as a mop shaft for the last 30 years.

If there's any common sense out there then this cue should struggle to get anywhere near what the first one did. Surely people can't be gullible enough to not see through this as utter bs?

3 months from now another one will appear that was acquired after a magical quest to a Volcano, Will heroically scales the side, tosses in some finest ash and ebony, and BEHOLD...as a cue arose from the lava flow inside.

Just for my own knowledge, were they using North American ash thirty years ago, or were the top makers still using English ash?
I agree with Warren ,I honestly thought it was a woods cue rebadged.

don't be offended but english ash are never better than the american ones, especially for modern cues
