Longoni "No Blue" Sponge

Hi all, I just bought the Longoni "No Blue" Sponge to clean my cue after rinsing the sponge with water.
I noticed that the hand splice of the black ebony seems to have faded showing the base color.
Is there anything that I should worry about?

"Showing the base colour" ?? are you saying it's a painted cue then

Sounds like your cue has been handspliced with cheap wood then painted to make it look like dearer wood and hide any cracks etc.
