On the plus side if the pipe cutter does work it can also be used to cut the tenon, although I don't know how long the cutter blades will last.

Gonna do a tenon one on the Tweetens tenoning machine in the next week.

Have been considering the DIY tenon for a while, got a few ideas in my head.

At the moment I'm spending far too much time trying to find some straight strip pine so I can start snooker cases. You be amazed how much time I have wasted in merchants and cannot find anything even close. Of all the things to hold me up I didn't think that would be it!

Seriously though: I squeeze one out WW and wipe up and down then use the barbed cloth thing, then towel to dry.

(I thing the next one should be on hanging out clothes to dry :biggrin-new: )

I've used lots of methods, I think it's nice to show a few that we all use for the people who are stumped. I guess there are lots that work. I did use the barbed cloth (the blue Peradon one in the video) which is great but I also like to finish with the duster as it seems to give it a slightly different finish.

As long as we are all happy that our method gives us want we feel we want we can then get on with missing the balls!

But then I was looking at Brasso etc after the Carnauba discussion.

I guess what would be good would be to have half a dozen ebony butted cues and use a different cleaner on each and compare.

I haven't tried brasso yet, it's funny how these substances have various uses you wouldn't think of.
