its more or less what happens in 3/4 cues where the bottom is just a solid block of ebony. I dont know why they dont just do that

I've bought 2 amazing one piece TWs in the last year. Beautiful chevrons, plain ebony, play like a dream...not played with a JP ultimate so curious as to how they may compare, but these are far better than my Professional JP cue. I also think Tony Glover is right there amogst the best - not sure why he doesn't get the same mention as JP or TW - his cues are superb players.
