I was speaking to robert osbourne yesterday and asking him.what green plates he had in and said he had some but all with exotic splices around 750 and got speaking bout plates and as we all no he said that red plates dont play eny beter than a green plate and its all to do with u can sell difrent shafts for more money and end of day its a buisnes as we no all cues go to far east so if only cues had no makers name on it but a blank badge would we still by it and why are we all cought up in who made the cue ? proberly had this post before so sorry

In the good old days Stevie, the old cues with the square badges all have terrible looking shafts (by today's standards)
I'm not even sure when good looking shafts became the "must have" thing

If you took the badge off a Parris Ultimate cue, you would be lucky to get £300 for them.
And other makers too, unless the badges were replaced with something unique to identify the cuemaker, otherwise they are all just wood

Or just to point out that they are "considerably richer than us". I can't honestly imagine driving a Ferrari on UK roads would be that pleasant of an experience, would probably feel like your ass was being hit with a jackhammer with the car being so low slung and the suspension so stiff.
