Help me with my 3/4 butt joint.

God this is slow going, spent the last month turning house upside down trying to find my butt, anyway found it...yeah...*&(^%&^ yeah, alas being up in the loft for 4 years there is now a gap between female brass joint and the ebony butt, quite uniform in circumference, just under a mm I would guess, should I leave it at room temp for a few days, wont be using it for a while so dont know if its loose, sorry to be such a heathen, I stupidly gave its case away anyway, thanks for your time...

It will need for the joint taking out and refitted, then have the butt cleaned up after it's been refitted.

Yep, just cleaned it, put it together and its loose....I'll ring them tomorrow, think it deserves a bit of love now after all it abuse, poor thing,..

Update: £40 to refit both joints,check its straight, resand, refinish, see I'm not such a redneck after all...
