    Looking for good starter cue

    Hey guys, just joined forum and decided to post after much reading and looking at a variety of cues for hours...

    Am just really starting out playing snooker after a few years in and out of halls having the odd few games a year. However have definitely outgrown the shambolic sports direct Selby branded cue I have at the moment.

    Was about to pull the trigger on a woods ash cue but backed out last second thinking I best ask after reading mixed reviews.

    Ideally I just want a 3/4 jointed cue that feels 'right and nice', round 9.5mm tip as have read good to start on. Hopefully between 40-70 pound or roundabout. Also need a case really so not sure if there are any bundles that are worth a look at (I say this as friend has bought a Jing Yang Amazon deal and I am skeptical...)

    the bundles on Amazon/ebay can be good value
    the cues can be ok but wont be exactly what you see in the library photo, but often the case and the extensions are very good value

    maybe have a chat with ADR147 on here as he often has something lying around that could work. (will next 10 posts and patience to get PM function though)
    what is your budget?
    whereabouts are you located?

        Link at bottom of this post is what I was considering.

        Located in Cornwall southwest, only one shop near that seem to only stock peradons quite pricy.

        Don't really want to spend anything more than 70, but would consider more for a decent set with extensions and a case (around 100)

          also have a look at www.greenbaize.com and also have a chat with Stu there, he is very knowledgeable and very helpful
          not sure what he has in stock but you never know

          If you could extend your budget a little bit more, the choice becomes greater

            Welsh Pool black was my first decent cue I bought. It's not too pricey I believe the guy used to post on here I can reccomend it's a good cue.
