  • Cue squirt/Deflection

Can anyone tell me about what would make a cue deflect more than another.

Is weight, tip hardness, front end weight, ferrule type
I had a pool cue years back that had a hole drilled the from end to reduced the front weight, but I have never really heard snooker cue maker's view of how to do this.

Can be a few things, shaft being too stiff, ferrule thickness, if the cue is ash or maple (maple is stiffer than ash generally so falls into the first thing i mentioned), tip size i think can also factor into it.
