nope, so the official size/diameter etc is 8.6mm at the top of the ferrule, 8.8mm at the bottom of the ferrule, and about half an inch down, the wood returns to 9.5/10mm..
however, it appears my cue has shrunk too as what used to be 57" is now 56.2" hahawhat a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....

I see what you mean but if he is sanding his tips the way I think he is.... He will be sanding the ferrule and catching the shaft sometimes to..For that one you've always wanted...
