Ever happen to anybody ?

Hi about a year ago I bought a new cue and its stored in a secure case at all times when not in use i care for it immensely cleaned every week ect and a bout a week ago i noticed a hairline crack at the 3/4 joint and the wood on the shaft was above the joint slightly I didn't think much of it and was going to ring the maker when I had the money to do the work on it and last night the whole joint came through the shaft does anyone know what could of caused this ?? ( I didn't name the cue maker in case its not his fault for bad work in case he looses business )

Wood can crack. It has been known to happen. Just speak to the cuemaker. He can sort you out

As said just something that can happen with wood as it moves slightly depending on temperature, etc.
