  • Brass joint at 3/4 length not flush with the wood finish

    Hello Folks,

Although, it does not affect cueing, could you please suggest how to make the 3/4 brass joint flush with the ebony butt wood?

    Thanks,
    fkhan

I'd recommend taking it to someone with a lathe

I imagine wire wool would be far too gentle. Depends how much is sticking out, but perhaps someone with the correct tools is more likely to get the job done properly

How much is the cue worth?
If expensive I would get someone who knows what they are doing do it, if cheap have a go with wire wool 😎
Must be a cue maker or a machine shop in India who could look at it for you??

wrap some masking tape over the shafts so you don't wear down by accident the softer wood before the brass - you don't want your cue to have an hour-glass figure do you
                        Up the TSF! :snooker:
