first question - do you really need to remove wood? You cant put it back
I know of two cue makers in NI, Jim Black (www.jimblack.co.uk) and Martin Daly (tyronecues.com) but not sure how much modifications they do. They are both on TSF (maybe not for a while though) and sure they are on facebook if you do that thing
Hi m8. Is there any major problems when doing something like this?
YEAH! like Dean wrote - once you've taken wood off it can't be glued back on
Give yourself sometime to adjust your position with the cue...
However, if it is in your head that the cue is too long then you probably won't be satisfied until it is shortened.

Experience tells me you'll be looking for a new cue by Christmas!
Anyway - I hope it all works out for you and your game :snooker:

Anybody know anyone who could take an inch off my cue?
I'm in Belfast but willing to post if needs be.
Thanks
Measure from the floor to the point of your shoulder, if the cue is within an inch of this length leave it alone.
