I had a taom tip on my 9 ball break cue a few years back, which was really good quality, but not really comparable to the new tips, which are a regular playing tip. They are a laminated tip available for pool or snooker cues (14 and 20mm). Would be interested to hear how they play. £15 isn't really overpriced compared to a kamui or other laminated tips.

14mm tip is a lot to take off to get to a 9.5mm ferrule , which is why I thought that they were only pool tips .
