Don't see a big season why it wouldn't, just the but would need plugging in re drilling as the bike would be big for the female part of the joint.
For that one you've always wanted...

What would be the cost of such an alteration?

Would have to think about and can you post or send me a pic of the joint, as the butt would need filling and redrilling...

You'd be better off leaving the cue alone and simply purchasing a female mini-butt. If you go to the listing below you would need the Female Mini Butt Type A for a Taylor Made cue. I have one and at £10 they're a perfect.

Didn't know you could get one and that would be a better way over your problem.

There's a guy called Lonnie Wilbur over on Azbilliards. He usually makes joint protectors for most joints in a wide range of woods, but he also made me a similar extension to what you are after as well on request. It was about 5 years ago, so you might have to dig around that forum to find him. He was inexpensive, even with shipping from the states, and the quality was really good.

A bit harsh, The Britannia Cues are great value for money especially considering the price they are, quality, materials they use and craftsmanship. A far call from a 'Pile of Junk' you were told they are. Perhaps the person you spoke to at this 'cue shop' had an ulterior motive?

Not common but after the heat of last summer we noticed a minute number of cues having issues with shrinkage especially if stored in locations which fluctuate quite dramatically between hot and cold. Still if that does happen to a Britannia cue you're always welcome to contact whoever you purchased it from or SAM Leisure and we'll help resolve the problem for you.

If you're local to Coventry you'd be welcome to come and test out cues in our Showroom for purchase but if that's a little out the way for you i understand.

I wish you the best of luck finding the right cue for you!

                          https://www.cueandcase.co.uk/taylor-...e-and-mini-ext

These are top made cues and I play with the one in the link myself. Cue and Case stock a version of that cue specifically made for English 8 Ball with a small tip size of around 8.3-8.5mm if I remember right. Ask Charlie to go weigh the cues and find the one closest to your weight pref. I asked for 19.2 and the cue he found me was exactly 19.2. These are made from good grade ash, are well built and finished and play beautifully.

Oh and they're currently on sale at 10% off the usual £115 price, so £103 all in.
I took your advice i purchased a similar cue. id does feel like a quality cue, however the 1st one they sent me had a crack in the butt, and the replacement one i received today also has a crack in it. I have sent them an email to try and get this resolved.

I am not knocking the company at all as there service has been top notch, however i am unsure about their stock of cues that aren't cracked.
