Linseed Oil

I have acquired a bottle of this:

Boiled Linseed Oil. Can it be used on cues? or does it have to be raw linseed oil?

i think it has to be raw. when i got boiled it didnt seem to soak into the cue and left the cue smelling like turpentine

yes boiled dries out your cue i think raw is def better .

good advice. a local art store will have some, or point you somewhere local that should have.

WRT expensive delivery. that may be so, but it is worth it if you want to look after your cue and dont want the "hassle" of sourcing it locally, depending where you live

Try a local sports shop and ask for cricket bet oil - its the same stuff, but read the contents to make sure its raw.

Does the linseed oil you use take forever to dry?

Have you tried Tung Oil? any good?

How do you actually apply the oil?

Do you just soak some shammy in it then start rubbing the shaft?
