What would happen if you did hold him accountable for the auction and he wouldn't send the cue? I don't think ebay can do anything besides suspending his account.

Just want to know about bidding laws before I buy/sell anything in ebay.

In reality I reckon thats as much as what would happen, although it's supposedly a contract and you could sue it'd be a waste of time as no court would effectively punish an individual for an obvious mistake.
