Hey Khiz, what did you get Trev to do? It looks like a sort of protective bumper, like on a pool cue, is that right? Fill me in ...

      Still a corker, though.

The cue is really beautiful, Nat, congrats. Is it cocobolo splicing on the butt? It looks like it, but I've never seen a bit that red before ... is the colour in the photo true?

        • hi keith, it is cocobolo and this picture was taken in daylight with no flash which i thought would indicate its colour best. it is particularly red though the colour appears browner under snooker table lights. am really happy with it, and glad trevor introduced me to cocobolo. beautiful stuff!

          • Good man, Nat. Welcome to the cocobolo club! Your bit is really nice, though. Trevor did right by you there, pal.

Jesus wept, when I saw this post I honestly thought I was hallucinating. I've already posted two links to pics of TW's cues.

Hi Khizzy, is that ebony and a kind of veneer at the butt?
                  Looks interesting. Unusual but nice.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

the order was for a 58", then i thought it might be a lil less so trev added a ebony cap too it,then i told him that 58" is fine so he had to cut it off again, but i think it looks better now.

its a ebony cap with an ivory ring.

i brings out the look of the splicings doesn't it.

That is a nice combination. Yes, it really underlines the splices.
I have to think about alternative woods for this position. Or maybe an ebony cap?

I think that's possibly the nicest cue I've ever seen. I love the butt too. If there a cue I'd aspire to own, it'd be that.

If you don't mind me asking, how much would something like that cost? No chance any time soon for me, but really... That's beautiful.

i was wondering how would alternate pieces of ebony and maple look ?
