I would guess and its only a guess that the other one is a Tony Ions. Its hard to say without holding. Still makes a very desirable cue, it would be a brilliant player and I do believe that Tony Ions replicas will have there own value in years to come. Its worth about 150-180 if its a replica and alot more if its real but there is a doubt. Tony would want 300 quid to make one if you ordered today so its agood value either way.

there is always the odd one that throws us all off though eh jason, like the JD cue yesterday! its a 50-70 cue anything more is just silly.

Who is the highest bidder? Its so annoying now ebay has hidden the highest bidder id. Always nice to know who is spending money.

Have to agree with ADR, even a 1st edition shouldn't go for much more than that IMO.
I think that you can be very lucky or unlucky with selling cues on Ebay. If Craig hadn't got a good reputation as a seller, like me for instance (not that I have a bad reputation I just haven't used Ebay much), he'd be lucky to get over £230 for it. As he has bought and sold a few cues in the past his reputation means that most people believe anything you write in a description. I think putting RARE in the heading has probably raised this cue £150+ above its realistic value.
When you look at Jack Douglas listing for his black plate Robert Osbourne cue, a much better quality cue BTW, is only standing at £240 with a few hours to go, it makes you wonder if cue collectors are mad. That is easily worth £350+ with the case and extention.
BTW Craig, I'm not having a go at you in anyway.

ye olde ash.
first editions are very rare. you are paying big money for the rarity value and not neccesarily the quality of the cue. i have a second edition that i bought for my fiancee to play pool with, its a good cue but i have many far superior quality wise.

ye olde ash.
hi matty. its not really long enough for me to play with. its 56.5 inches which is ideal for er indoors. its only 9mm so is more suited to pool. it is in good condition and 100% genuine cos the guy i got it off has had 5 before including a first edition which he let go for £400 last year. that was sold a week later for £600 and a week or so after that for £1000. people will pay for rare items!
