ye olde ash cue

hi all. just to let you all know there's a lovely ye olde ash on e bay at the moment. what does everyone think it will go for? i'll start the ball rolling and say £400.

Between £230 - £300 depending on the interest level. 2nd editions aren't that rare. I always think that if these cues are so good and rare why they seem to appear fairly often on Ebay, its usually because they aren't great quality IMO.

the cue is a peach of a cue, really nice, the main reasons for selling is because i have a 1st edition which is the cue i really wanted, i also need the cash spare for other things, if you like it have a bid, you wont be dissapointed.

I dont know much about these older cues. Could someone please tell me is this cue desirable because of the quality of the ash. The 2nd edition is supposed to be 50 yrs old and the 1st edition is supposed to be 100 yrs old or something like that, is that right.
Do these old ash have a different color?

1st edition has a deep dark red colour, the wood was reclaimed from a shipyard, the salt water turned it red, burroughes and watts claim the wood on the 2nd edition is 50 years old but it is the same as most wood in other antique cues.

there is another second edition on - not sure if its real or not though! - my guess is craigs will do 200 - 300 in fact craig to try and keep up my record after my spot on JD guess i will try £235!!

no its just that i have sold my own cue and the specs might suit me if its cheap enough!

oh i see - we all have are off days mate! march 37 he made the break but the cue is later! ions cue?
