        Regards,

        Interesting that.

In my opinion, it looks very genuine, from the shape of the splicing, the slight countersunk effect around the edge of the name badge, the joint in the image also looks like a Parris joint (both mini-butt and cue joint) and the engraving on the name badge.

I would be amazed that anyone who does go to the length to produce a cue which has everything just as a Parris cue does, to the same standard, would be kind of wasting their time making fakes, and, should perhaps spend more time making cues under their own name.

I'm still of the opinion that John Parris made the cue, name badge aside.

I can also say that I've done dozens and dozens of jobs on 'real' Parris cues, whereby the cue has been re-spliced, lengthened and all sorts, where I have replaced the original Parris badge afterwards. That doesn't make those cues fake, even though they may not appear as they were originally.

Having said that, I have no idea what the situation is with this particular cue.

as you say trevor the cue is very good its just he didn't make it - i think we can both guess where it came from though! - i guess people will do anything for a few quid.

Sounds interesting, where do you think it came from?

i have a john parris elite cue and i have just had a mini butt made by jp himself from tulip wood and i had him put an elite cue name plate in it.
