Dragon Cues - Bob Denner

Hi all

I’m looking to buy a new Snooker cue for around the £250 - £300 mark, so I have been scouring the net for a cue maker. I have read loads of contradictory statements about different cue makers here in the UK so I’m very confused as to whom to go to for a custom cue. I live in South Wales and came across a guy called Bob Denner who runs Dragon Cues in Port Talbot. (http://www.dragoncues.co.uk/)
I rang Bob on Thursday to arrange a meeting for Saturday. I met with him and he seemed a decent guy, he showed me some of his work and I was blown away. I am very tempted to have a cue made by him but I am wondering if you guys used or own one of his cues? Are they any good? Do you guys know of him?

Any advice would be much appreciated

If you have a budget of 250-300 and your in South Wales, I would go to Trevor White Rather than Dragon.

You are close to both so it means you can have things altered if you wish.

I am a seller of cues myself and my opinion is totally honest and I am not on commision from Trevor White.

If you don't need that local conection then I can help with other makers in that price range.

One other very important point is that a used Trevor white cue will sell for £150, where a Dragon cue of the same purchase price would be £50-£80.
