We only speak the truth a bit too often.
I do have a weak moment from time to time due to beer and from time to time a fruit based ladies drink.

I will forward you the email

And no it was just a price list not been phoned up by anyone lately

There is a guy called Peter Ernst from Belgium who makes pool cues. Also, a few cue makers in Germany (e.g. Eurowest) who I am sure can do a top notch job for you. There is also a few guys in France, I think one is called Thierry Chervon. (not too sure about the spelling, but his cues are called TC cues I believe. He uses radial pins)
To do a radial pin, you need to have the tap to turn the female thread in the shaft. You can buy that from Atlas Billiard from USA, but it is quite pricy although the pin is quite cheap. You can also buy the phenolic and buckhorn from Atlas if you want. Are you planning on putting the phenolic insert into the wood thread in the shaft, that is not a bad idea at all. It can be easily done with the tap.
I would just send it out to someone who already have these in stock if I were you. What kind of cue is it?

the cue is not ready yet, but it will be an ebony into ash 3/4 traditional brass joint. right now im looking at pat diveney to do the jobbie, he agreed to it but has been a bit slack at getting back to me. i had a think about the german makers as they are supposed to be quite good - wonder if there are any who speak good english... thanks for the advice

It is interesting to see your comment. I bought a 3/4 cue from the far East via a supplier in B'ham and some of the butt veneer work looked great but other 'veneers' looked as if the were sprayed on. So perhaps they were! Very striking cues though and plenty of arrows in the ash. I sold mine on. Very cheap to buy at around 60 quid complete with case and long and short extensions Sounds like you have stripped one down. Are they any good?
