The round butt helps make it appear chuuby at that end as well.

Its actually very slim at the butt end, something like 26-27mm or thereabouts.

Osborne finish is better!.....smoother!

Had my Parris Superior refinished at Roberts before Xmas as don't like Johns finish on a cue and if you close your eyes and feel cue/shaft you'd think the ash is maple!

On the parris finish or the osbourne finish?

Cue is excellent, I was with desso when he bought it. Robert had 3 red plates and 1 green plate for sale when we visited!!! Quite a few part made as well.
Nice guy, tried begging, onion angle starving kids in africa angle, nothing would make him take my order. Even a large wedge of cash for a blackplate. He did offer me a black eye tho.
His workshop is awesome, doesnt take orders as people kept mucking him around. Such a shame, he said he can make whatever specs and style of cues he likes, send it abroad and no cues ever come back to him from fussy customers.

That's how Roberts finishes his cues with special mix of oils leaving a natural feel and finish......definitely not unfinished lol.

Yes, he's a big Arsenal fan as Neil and others have said. Last time I popped in at 5pm I didn't leave till well after 7pm rabbiting football as I'm a massive Liverpool fan.

I struggled to get a cue of him a couple of years ago .....as he had to send a specific number out to his agents . But got there in the end !

My mate has just bought a Red Plate......very decent cue and the price seemed cheap at £360 .

Wish you could get one for me Neil. I've been trying for 2 years and I've been using the fellow Gooner angle as well!

I dropped him an email over the summer and popped in when passing but he only had red plates to choose from, nothing took my fancy. I think the orders he gets from agents are fairly relaxed ie he sends a random amount of cues with a few designs a couple of times a year.
