    Looks like a grain split but across. Just lifting up near the splice end.
    I shall await JP response before posting pics or saying anything else. As you say I hope they fix it quickly and well.

    Yes Jointed at 16". I was told when ordering it would be 18months or so. Was not too bothered with the time frame.

    George, from what I can see of the shaft it looks gorgeous. Nice aged look and nice chevrons. Can you show a pic of the whole shaft?
