Lights not great in this office so doesnt show up too well. Its rosewood i think yeh. The ebony is also not pure black, very dark but stripy also, so might be striped ebony i suppose. Not played for 3 years and itching for a game....11-3-2017.

Just received this picture from Andy Travis.
Butt timber is Purple Heart, and the main splices are Olive Wood. The Mini splices are also Purple Heart but as they have only just been put on they haven't got much colour to them yet. I still think it looks lovely as it is.
As you see also the both extensions have butt joints on them. So as i can reach the full range of shots.

My New 1pc Mastercraft
Having posted some 'work in progress' pictures earlier in the thread, here's the finished article . .
36 splices of Ebony and Maple on an ash shaft with the straightest grain you're likely to see on a cue.
Having visited Mastercraft in Shropshire, I asked for 'something different' and that's certainly what I got. I can't speak highly enough about Dave and Chris who have been amazing from start to finish, not only getting the cue finished on time (somewhat of a rarity when it comes to cue makers these days) but also at a great price and an amazing end result. Having purchased cues from various cue makers over the years, you won't find better service or value for money than Mastercraft and their cues aren't too shabby either
