  • Very nice. The mannock replica is stunning!
If you want to play the pink, but you're hampered by the red, you could always try to play the brown!

      • I've played a fair few frames with that Mannock and it plays as good as it looks.

          • Thing is tho Jim, That Mannock wasnt made with veneers. That was a solid ebony butt 22inches long, then solid tulip spliced over, and then the front splice. Will be a pretty expensive cue to make. Plus would need to find tulip in 18inch lengths.
I sold that mannock for £420 second hand.

              • One of my fave designs, and something similar to what I have planned for my own cue.
Ebony butt, ash shaft, Thuya burr front splice.

i think you can get away with using 3mm ebony or maybe 2mm splice them on shape then add tulipwood, thats the prob now i did have some 24 ins long but will have to get somemore, the snakewood or thurrburr at 9 ins is accessable, ile get somemore and try yet again ,i will do it

                        • Some more beauties Jason. I don't know how you bring yourself to sell them. I'm worrying that when I finally make one that plays well I'll not be able to sell it and end up making myself a load of cues! Lol

                            • I have just finished a couple maple cues.
These are built with Timeless Timber old growth maple.
One is a round butt cue and one has a flat butt.
                              Thank you.
