Yes I’ve heard that. Not sure but for me it’s all about the feel. I like to feel the weight and for me it feels like the weight of the cue helps the flow of the stroke.

Absolutely, I’m playing with a 21oz at the moment. You’re right, it’s all about what’s right for you.

Also seen some talk that if you cue straight with a heavier cue it's more likely to stay straight throughout the shot as opposed to lighter cues where it doesn't take much to knock them off. Not really sure how much truth there is to that, though i suppose if you take mass into consideration it's going to take more to shift a 20 oz cue offline than a 16oz for example.

Some players are of the opinion anything over 19 is too heavy, all depends if you feel comfortable with it or not.

It was reasonable to be fair. It was all about the specs for me. Exactly what I was looking, it just happened to be Lawlers cue. I am now averaging 40 seconds a shot which will make my team mates happy on Tuesday
