hi dan smashing cue are the splices all maple burrs of a sort
Hi Jim,
On the main butt its a large figured splice of Birdseye maple, thick Ebony veneer and a top splice of Thuya. On the mini butt its a tighter figured Birdseye maple splice.
This is my cue I play with. The mini butt I made 9" and to the same size dimensions to the bottom 9" of the main butt so when its used on the shaft when in a tight area it still feels like the main cue butt.
That's a cracker:snooker:
It reminds me about an Aurora
hi again dan i did the same with my old playing cue ,it was a powerglide all ebony butt the joint came loose with cue abuse i think lol so when i had it repaired at martin chesworths i had a 9 in ebony butt ext made and i cando the same butt is slightly bigger to keep weight up
its cause he took photos on wood not brick pavement this time :P lol wood in the background is trademark aurora cue photos! dan always has his cues on rough looking brick flooring :P

I can't do right from wrong! lol
PS: Cue's have never been harmed in the making of my photos
lol i know u guys do take fantastic photos i must admit. is it cause u take them outside? cause ive never done that before.. hmmmm
Well its awkward. I only have my phone camera and all pictures inside look awful. I think the colours look nicer when they are outside.
The only place I could do them would be on a snooker table, but the nearest one is miles away. So outside on the drive is the best place for me. I will be getting a little photo setup soon as a few comments have been made and peoples minds need to be put at rest.
