I have recently seen an ash cue, with some curly grain just like curly (tiger) maple grains.
The ash grains are dark like the usual ash, but when you turn the ash under the light, you can see curly patterns which run perpendicular to the ash grains.
Is there a special name for this kind of ash?
Are they more rare?
Does any one specially ask for this type of ash when ordering a cue?
Thank you
