James is a cue maker from Scotland. He only makes cues as a hobby but i have seen a few of his and they are very good cues. unbelievable value for the money. He uses the best quality wood and of the ones i have seen the splicing is very good. I have an Osborne cue and a Stamford cue and i would have no hesitation in using or buying one of these.

Starting bid on ebay for a standard maple ebony hand spliced £100, that's a fair bit for a starting bid so they must be very well made.

I bought one a while back. Very nicely made, but i didnt get on with it, felt a bit strange over the bridge hand to me (but everyone is different).

i changed the ferrule on one last year - decent enough cue and the guy had bought it for £40 - which is an absolute steal.

Im not 100% sure the ebay seller is the actual person making the cues (might be a relative etc). Everyone is entitled to their privacy and to say no (the reply is a bit short, but its not rude) Perhaps theyre just someone who likes to knock out a few cues as a hobby, but doesn't wish to get involved as a business, because perhaps then it stops being a hobby?

Took a knife to a leather womans heel and glued it on as a butt protector too All it needs now is a badge.

The cue did not come with any bumper?

I bought 2 of cues from James about 2 years ago.

One was a conneseur copy the othe was ebony with 4 splices of cocobolo, both were really nice cues and I paid the outlandish sum of £80 for the pair.
Just because its old, doesn't mean its worth a fortune!!
