Need to Scuff or Spik after 3 Strokes!

Hi,

I have to scuff and/or spike my cue tip after I have played for three times. Is this normal? Or the tip is too soft or too hard? It is the original tip played for less than a month. Please advice. Thanks.

Sounds like a duff tip, that's not normal!
I'd say it might be hard but it still shouldn't need work after a few hours never mind shots.
What's a spik?
