Can anyone give advice as to which make of cue is the best?
    cheers

Wooldridge, Parris, White, Stamford, Osbourne. Plus others!

All will make you a top quality cue.

      John Parris
      O'min
      Peradon
      Craftsman
The list goes on, depends on your budget and taste.

      Ask yourself these three questions;

      1. What is my budget?
      2. Do I want a cue for the name or for what it can do?
      3. Off the shelf or custom made?

If you can answer those honestly (Especially N0.2) then you are half way there.

Right for £60 you won't get a handmade cue anyway, JJB have a selection for these prices, I would stay away from the Jimmy White or Ronnie O'Sullivan branded cues and go for, Cue Craft or Peradon.

Also have a look on eBay, your local snooker hall may also be able to help you out, if you find a cue that you like which is the right weight, look and feel STOP don't get it, have a shop around for the same cue else where first, there is always somebody with a better deal.

I used the above strategy two days a go when getting a new camera and saved nearly £200

Oh and welcome to the forums :snooker:

I have one more question does it really matter if you get a 3 piece cue or a 2 piece cue?

Um... you would have to speak to the real experts about that one but I would suggest that keeping with a two piece for that budget.

As someone who always try to get the best for his £ my advice is spend a little more. It's perfectly reasonable to expect a decebt piece of wood for that money but really what you get might be a sticky painted thing with a rubbish tip, so have a good look around!

Stay away from cues with big rubber stops on the end, and stickers (unreal!)

If I were you I'd buy this, I had the same kind of cue and it was fine! I gave it to my mate and he love it. You won't find much better value in my opinion.

you should be able to find a second hand mastercue or o'min on that budget more or less.
